Dear ILS Guardians/Parents:
At Inland Lakes Schools, our dedicated educators and staff reinforce the importance of attending school all day, every day to best support students growth. To that end, we want to remind families that Count Day is on Wednesday, Oct. 4th 2023, and the need for students to be in the classroom is more crucial than ever.
As our community knows, attendance on Count Day is a key factor in our ability to serve students and families. We hope that our school community makes its best effort to be in attendance. We will continue to do all that we can to provide students with the education, resources and space that sets them up for lifelong success.
This year, we have exciting initiatives and projects planned that will enrich the educational experience for our IL students. Next week, ILS will be hosting Homecoming 2023. We will have spirit week in both the elementary and secondary buildings. Please encourage your son or daughter to participate. Save the Date for the Powderpuff game under the lights on Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 6:30pm. On Friday, Oct. 6th our Homecoming parade will begin at 5pm followed by the Varsity Football game against Pellston at 7pm. Great things are happening at ILS!
As always, thank you for partnering with Inland Lakes Schools as we strive to provide students with a safe place to learn, grow and play. We will work together to reinforce the “all day, every day” approach with our school community, and we encourage parents and families to do all that they can to ensure their children are in the classroom on Wednesday, Oct. 4th 2023 for Count Day.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Fairbanks
