In 2008 a civic minded group of business, educational, and parent leaders established the Friends of Inland Lakes Schools (FOILS) a non-profit, tax deductible  organization.

Mission

Enabling student co-curriculum activities by working with the Inland lakes Schools District in identifying needs/goals/budgets and sponsoring community fundraising projects to donate to the school system for their  allocation.

Events

Each year the organization holds “LobsterFest”, an evening of serving fresh Maine lobster, roasted pork, various side dishes, appetizers donated by many local restaurants, and dessert. Entertainment is provided by students of Inland Lakes Schools and Mike Ridley, our resident Master of Ceremonies.

Funds Awarded

Over the last 8 years funds have been raised to support the art departments, media center, technology within the classrooms, high school science labs, the elementary HANDS lab, and in 2015 the 6-12 robotics program.
